About

What does a radio network owned by The Walt Disney Company and a local nonprofit that focuses on affordable housing have in common you might ask? Well, the answer is, ME! Let me explain...

In 2008, I was hired as an On-Mic Talent for Radio Disney. Through this opportunity, I was able to recreate the energy and excitement families experience with Disney Channel and Radio Disney through hosting live, interactive events that featured games, contests and choreography. For seven years, I was able to learn about engagement marketing from the best in the business. Today, I continue to build engaging events for local and national clients as a Live Event Host with Turnkey Events and Promotions.

When I wasn’t on stage, I enjoyed working with youth through direct service with the Youth Development Department at Project for Pride in Living (PPL). After working with youth through camps, community centers, schools and after-school programs, I was presented with an incredible opportunity to work with families in a supportive housing setting. It was here I had the privilege of supporting families dealing with chronic homelessness, chemical dependency and/or mental illness.Through this program, I matched participants with mentors and develop customized learning plans focusing on literacy and social/emotional skills for grades K-6.

In the beginning of my career, I had no idea that my dynamic job opportunities would fit together so well. However, whether it be through education, entertainment or both, it all comes down to creating meaningful and positive experiences for kids and families.
